Now that warm weather has finally arrived, it is time to bask in the sunshine and head to the beach. Although it’s fun to dig your toes into the sand at the beach, you don’t want to bring that sand home with you. So, it’s important to keep sand out of your car. Here are a few things you can do to keep your vehicle sand-free.
- Shake It Out. Before packing anything up, give everything a good shake. Empty your pockets, shake out your towel, and brush your hair.
- Line Your Trunk. Cut open a trash bag to line your trunk or use an old sheet. That way, if you miss any sand, it will get caught in the liner.
- Use a Brush. Get a soft-bristle brush that you can use to scrub sand out of stubborn places like the soles of your shoes.
- Use Baby Powder. Sprinkle baby powder on your skin and rub it off with a fresh towel to help remove the sand.
In the event you do wind up with some sand in your car, it is not too difficult to take care of it. You will want to thoroughly vacuum your car as soon as possible. You can also use a damp cloth to help clean up any stubborn sand.
